This image shows the steel framing for the MMC Pavilion (Pavilion C & D) with Bramhall Street in the foreground, Arsenal Street had been closed. The new pavilion opened in 1956. The opening signified the physical manifestation of the merger of MGH, Children's Hospital and Maine Eye and Ear Infirmary which had begun in 1951
