Objectives
1. Recognize and diagnose statin-associated muscle symptoms, statin-associated myotoxicity, and statin-associated autoimmune myopathy
2. Describe strategies for managing patients with statin-associated muscle symptoms, statin-associated myotoxicity, and statin-associated autoimmune myopathy.
3. Discuss emerging evidence that in those patients with statin-associated autoimmune myopathy, autoantibodies recognizing HMG-CoA reductase may be pathogenic.
