Description
This 30-minute virtual session on taking accountability for harm related to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) in healthcare settings will focus on explaining the concepts, sharing best practices for accountability, and providing actionable steps for individuals and organizations. Participants will be able to:
- Understand the role of accountability in DEIA
- Identify different forms of harm in DEIA contexts
- Distinguish between intent and impact in harmful situations
- Create action plans for implementing accountability practices

The ME Rural GME Education (MERGE) Collaborative – a partnership with Northern Light Health, Central Maine Medical Center, Maine Medical Center and Maine-Dartmouth Family Residency Program at Maine General Hospital – will also develop faculty development for rural practitioners and a shared learning platform for an inter-disciplinary and inter-professional rural healthcare providers.
