Description
This is a display from a downtown Portland window of 11 different nurses' caps and a uniformed mannequin. Included are the caps of most of the area hospitals and nursing schools. Each school of nursing had its unique style of cap. As long as a nurse wore her original cap, others would be able to identify her training school. At one time, the hospital newsletter featured some of the caps worn by nurses at MMC who had graduated from a variety of nursing programs.
